Hand weaving, dobby and industrial weaving

This is an exploration of my Bolivian background. The samples that each led up to this wall piece were studies of all aspects of Bolivia but many samples utilized wire.

Material exploration was especially important to the aesthetic and conceptual development of this piece. It was inspired by many tin roofs in La Paz, Bolivia and the rust patterns that develop over time.

Hand dyed cotton and polyester fabrics and custom colors for Angela Muñoz's clothing collection. Cottons were also dyed in coffee prior to the color.
